I finally got to go on another walk around the neighborhood. It rained early this morning and then the sun came out so everything smelled so interesting! I couldn’t help myself but to stop and check it all out!
Georgetown
I’m so happy that John is starting a new journey at Georgetown! I’m going to miss him very much but know that Jack will look out for him and that all his wishes and dreams will come true. Besides, I am still going to go on walks, just like if he were here. I even went on one today!
Surprise Walk
When I woke up this morning, I was surprised to find my collar and leash were waiting for me. I got to go on a walk through the neighborhood. I didn’t see any of my friends, but everything smelled so fresh for spring that I stopped and sniffed every chance I got!
Is it Spring Yet?
I went on a walk just after sunrise this morning. It was sunny outside, but the temperate was below freezing. I could see frost on the ground. I could smell lots of plants and flowers about to come up through the ground and i think the bees are going to borrow there too soon. I also got to see two friends on my walk and some kids getting on the bus to go to John and Paul’s old school, Maple Ave. I had a lot of fun stopping and smelling everything and jigging left and jogging right! Maybe I will get to go on another walk today if it warms up this afternoon!
Where did the sun go?
I was supposed to go for a walk at the state Park but as it was getting closer to when we were leaving, the sky turned grey quickly. It was going to rain soon, so we went for a walk in the neighborhood. I had a lot of fun and it was good to catch the last few minutes of sunshine. If tomorrow’s nice, maybe I’ll get to see friends at the park too.
First Day of Spring
Today was the first day of Spring. It was sunny and 70 degrees outside and I got to go for a walk in the afternoon. I was so excited to go and see my friends in the neighborhood. I saw two friends and as I was just about halfway down Horizon Drive, I had to poop! The first poop of Spring!
Another Walk!
I got to go on another walk today! It’s been so long since I got to walk two days in a row! It wasn’t as sunny as yesterday, but I still enjoyed being outside very much. It was very cold again. Today, I didn’t even poop!
Cold But Sunny (Finally!)
The weather has been horrible for the last 10 days or so. Grey, cold, rain, snow, sleet and ice–so I haven’t had a chance to get outside. I’ve been going stir crazy inside and going in and out to the yard every hour or so. My humans are exhausted! But today was beautifully sunny outside and the temperature was warm enough for me to go for a walk!
I was so excited when I saw my leash that I almost had to pee! It was so nice to go beyond my yard and explore the snow and dog prints that my friends had made. I even stopped at EVERY tree to snifff and see who has been around. As we neared Laura Lane, I found a dead bunny, which made me sad and I wondered if the bad dog who bit my sister before hurt the bunny. I kept going and saw a friend or two on a walk with their human and barked hello! Then, as we turned onto horizon, I had to poop. I had eaten pumpkin in the morning and I guess it went right through me. I headed home and went inside and got some water and then took a nap. Its the most exercise I’ve had in a while!
Morning Walk
I went for a walk this morning right after I got up. It was a beautiful morning, only about 55 degrees and sunny! The trees are dropping acorns more than ever before, it is a bumper year. I did a lot of sniffing for squirrels and got anxious when I saw a school bus. But, there weren’t any other dogs outside today so I wasn’t able to see any friends. Maybe, I will go on a walk in the afternoon and my friends will be outside too!
Farmer’s Market
What a fun morning I had today. John’s Mom and Dad took me to the Farmer’s Market. They wanted to get some tomatoes and I always love going there to make new friends. It was beautiful outside, sunny and nearly 80 degrees, so there were lots of other dogs for me to play with! The pickle vendor even gave me a free treat! We stayed for about an hour….it got hotter and I started panting, so home I went for fresh water and shade. I spent the rest of the day on the deck napping and lounging.
